Erkan Ogur is one of my favorite musical artists because of his unique meditating voice and seamless interpretation of Turkish folkloric songs.

What most surprises your students about Turkish?
Students are most surprised to learn there is no gender in Turkish.

What one thing would you like your students to know about you?

I like to try different approaches to overcoming problems, because I believe there are many ways to make concepts come alive that appeal to a variety of learning styles.

What do students most often struggle with when learning Turkish?

If they are not familiar with a language that structures sentences in the same order as Turkish, it can be hard for students to get used to the sentence word order when learning.
